I have a "set" of clubs a friend of mine gave me a few years ago, no idea why. I didnt know anything about golf as you'll soon find out. The clubs (woods, irons?) are spading executive and I have #s 2 4 5 6 7 8 and 9. Also there is a driver that on the back says "ADAMS GOLF GT STEEL 303 TIGHT LIES 9.5 degrees" and a club that says "Arnold Palmer Sterling Silver series Oversize 17.4 stainless 21 degrees" and is numbered 5. No idea what these all are. They're all different companies, no doubt thrown together in some thrift store before I got them. All are in good condition except 2 have some scuffs. Comes with the huge golf bag and about 50 used balls and some tees. Plus a sock....thingy for the driver ans a cover that fits over all the clubs.

I want to sell em to preferably someone at work or that I know. Whats a good honest price for these beat up things? Its all profit for me, but how much could be asked for some ratty mish-mashed clubs?

Unfortunately all of those clubs that you have mentioned are rather out dated, and don't carry any of the big names (Ping, Callaway, TaylorMade, etc.). Golf clubs are like Korean made cars. They depreciate incredibly over the years. I think your best bet would be to sell them on craigslist, or in your local newspaper classifieds for $60/o.b.o. There's a reason your friend gave them to you and didn't sell them himself.

Small ads in your local paper, card in shop window, card on notice board of golf club, Exchange & Mart. Take your pick!

Go to a local golf course and ask their opinion. They may even put them up for sale on consignment.
