So i am looking at some new iron sets and i was wondering what the difference is between the normal versions and the "tour" versions of the clubs. I was demoing some callaway X-22 and X-22 Tours and i liked the tours way more but why? what are the things that are different besides the price?

Couple things

The tour have a smaller head and top line. Meaning the ball will go farther and more workability. But the forgivness is less then the regular x22 irons.

The tour irons are a lot less forgiving. Meaning that if you hit the ball anywhere on the club face but center, you will not end up with a good shot. Unless you are an excellent ball striker and a low handicap, stick with the regular X-22s.

They are all custom fitted to the pro and fit in relation to the ball the pro uses. The shafts and the kick point are especially important depending on the height of the player and their swing speed.

The bottom line is all the hundreds of questions asked on this board, which is better Nike or Callaway as an example are useless. The club that fits you depends on the way you swing and the shaft.

If everyone could play Nike and be as good as Tiger Woods, don't you think everyone would buy the same club.

The tour version will always have a thinner topline and less offset, so that it looks more neutral at set up and is not draw enhanced nearly as much as the standard version.
