Why do PGA golfers take off their glove after every shot?

This is something I have been wondering for a while now.

Whenever I watch PGA, I noticed a lot of golfers would take off their glove right after their shot and stuff in their back pocket while walking to their next shot. Then put on their glove again preparing for their fairway shot. Is there a reason for this? Why not just leave the glove on until you're on the green?

When I play, I have my glove on at all times. I even use it for putts. It just seems too much of a hassle to keep taking off your glove and putting it back on after every shot. After every hole even. That's why I keep it on even for putts, which I notice PGA golfers do not use their glove for putting. Why not?

Thanks in advance!

When it is very hot, they take off the glove so it does not get sweaty thereby making their grip tenuous.

It's probably personal preferene, I am like you I leave my glove on for putts too because its a pain to take it off all the time.

Its habit.

The glove lasts longer.

The glove doesn't get sweaty and worthless.
