No pro uses one, but some amateurs do, but it isn't worth it- you have 14 clubs, and all 14 can be chipping clubs in certain situations. Don't sacrifice one part of your game for a gimmick club.

An alternative to a chipper would be using a hybrid to chip off of the fringe. I have a chipper and all it is is extra weight and serves the same purpose that a hybrid can achieve.

yes. there isnt an actual club called the "chipper", usually, the actual name for a chipper is pitching wedge. and professional golfers use it to "chip" around the green.
