I am looking for a 5 wood that is easy to hit in more lies than a normal one. One with a smaller head, more hybrid like design, that will allow me to get the ball in the air easier with it. Some thing brand name, and made in the past 3 years. Any ideas?

Just buy a hybrid. I have played blades for 10 years. This year I switched to Titleist AP2's, swapping out the 3 iron for a 19* 909H hybrid. It plays great from tough lies and goes a mile. The only downfall of the hybrid (in my eyes) is that it flies much higher than a comparable iron, but that's no problem for you since a 5 wood flies much higher than that. Great for many golfers, but I usually play in windy conditions, and when it's in the face I can sting my 4 iron farther than the 19*.

It's fine. Loft on a 5 wood is usually 18 degrees while loft on a 3 hybrid is usually 21 degrees. A 7 wood and a 3 hybrid are similar in loft. Use one or the other not both.

Adams has a few generations of Hybrid Fairway woods. Honestly- they shortened the shaft a touch, kept the FW-like head, but added some features of a hybrid. It got some good reviews from outlets like Golf Digest and Golf Magazine.

Most 5 woods already have small heads, you must have an idea on what club you want already. Try a seven wood out you might like that,
