Does anyone own or have any comments on which of these set of irons are better assuming the user is an average golfer.
Ping® G10 or Callaway® X-20 or Taylor Made® R7.
Which set would you purchase?

Cream of the crop - can't go wrong with any of these. If you

have problems after this - it's not the clubs fault.

I feel I am best suited to answer this question as I have played AND changed from both sets. The Callaways were simply too heavy, it was like swing a house brick at times, they also have one of the smallest sweet spots on the market, if you hit it correctly it went miles but slightly off-centre really punished the average golfer. The taylors were ok, I used them for 9 months but changed due to the shape of the club head, I always seemed to Dig the toe in which caused slight mis-direction, their was nothing seriously wrong with the clubs (It's my swings fault, not the clubs) but I just couldn't get along with them. I tried numerous other clubs, Nike's (Truely Awful), Titleist (A better players club) and Mizuno (Beautiful, possible next set) But settled on some Ping G10's, I have been hitting these bad boys for around 5 weeks now and have fallen in love, So my first choice would be: - G10's 2nd: - Mizuno Mx25's 3rd: Taylor Made 4th: Titleist 5th: Callaway 234th: Nike!!

I just bought the TaylorMade R7 CGB Max Irons and absolutely love them. They get the ball up and longer than my previous Cleveland Set. I am hitting 9 iron/PW 150 yards in where as before I was hitting 7/8 iron. They land soft and I've never made as many birdies this early in a season before. I also have the TaylorMade R7 460 Driver to compliment the technology. I highly recommend hitting all three of these sets, and you will see the R7 CGB's will give you better distance and forgiveness!

I've never tried the TMs, but the Ping G10s are by far the softest most forgiving irons I've ever swung. Plus, you get the custom fit when you buy them for more power and accuracy.

The Callaways are great clubs.

And I've heard the TaylorMade's are too.

I have a TaylorMade driver and love it, not that that has much to do with it.

Don't get the Ping though.

Callaway X20's are by far better
