As you can see from all the previous answers, no one agrees on the same number. Nobody is wrong, in fact they are all correct; no club in golf has a standard/blanket loft that all manufacturers follow. For every iron there will be variance from brand to brand, just like how a driver can have lofts from 8 - 15 degrees.

The 1 iron has a loft similar to the driver. The standard at the time was between 9.5 and 12. 5 degree s loft angle.

I 1 iron usually has between 15 and 18 degrees of loft.
