I'm wondering about the weights of different versions of scotty cameron putters. I currently have the older version, not sure what it's called but this is what it looks like: http://www.myavidgolfer.com/resources/scotty_cameron_studio.jpg
I'm looking at getting the new studio select scotty cameron putter, specifically the 2.6; it feels heavier, which I like. But i was wondering how much does the head of this putter weigh and how much does the old putter i showed above weigh?

Also, if anyone has tried out this new scotty cameron putter, how do you like it in comparison to the older version? And do you find the red dot of the studio select 2.6 helpful (reminds me of the see-more putter)?

The putter you have is a standard weight scotty. The select version can come in the same weight but I would take your putter with you at the time of purchase and have both weighted. The select can have it's weight adjusted to match your old putter. I like the old putter better and the red dot alignment is a pain.

Any putter is worth the money if you have the money to spend and it gets the ball in the hole. A couple years ago, I went to Golf Galaxy and spent hours trying just about every putter they had. I walked out with a Yes! Tracey because I hit that one better than any of the others, including all of the Camerons. That being said, I love the new squarebacks and will probably get one. The key is to try every putter you can, you may be surprised by the results.
