To become a PGA club pro, you have to shoot within 15 strokes of the course that you are playing slope rating, and go through several business schools, it is very costly, about $7000, to be on the tour, wow, that's a real long shot.

I must agree with Jeff on this one. Join the golf team if your school has one. If you are good the scouts will find you. Worst case scenario is a scholarship, good coaching, and a degree. Good luck to you.

It is a bit early to say if you can play professionaly or not but you could definately play in college. You will get good coaching and great tournament experience from college golf which will help prepare you for the PGA Tour. Keep practicing, join your high school golf team, and take some lessons and Id say youve got a shot. Dont forget about that short game though!

To be a pro golfer the main thing you need to be able to do is be consistent. You need to be able to shoot low scores and do it time after time. You need to make sure you cover every aspect of the game and practice, practice, practice. You need to put yourself in pressure situations and see how you handle them. You also need to get your handicap down to zero

Better get some expert coaching (expensive) right now. You need to get your handicap down to zero real quick. Play tournaments, get used to competing and you better want to win real bad. Do you almost feel like crying when you lose ? Thats how bad you have to want it. Thats how hard you better be trying. Still your chances are slim but that should not stop you.

To be a Professional golfer you must have the ability and talent to hit it 290+ yards and hit about 65% of the greens the rest is touch short games flop shots putting course management the list goes on kid!Your not even close id say maybe in ten years you can become a real good player but pro is a stretch. If you get really good in lets say 5 years then go for it save all the money you can because it cost about 50 grand for travel and entry fees. You will need to play mini tours like the nga Hooters tour or the grey goose tour which will cost you like 15 grand to get into tournaments so good luck.
